In Finsbury Park we're finding ways of living that are based on localised food production, sustainable energy sources, vibrant local economies and an enlivened sense of community, rather than cheap and polluting oil.
PLANT TAXONOMY: is Friday 12th April at 11 (not Fri 5th April) at ELL, N4 2NQ. Informal training with Gemma Harris, who somehow makes this stuff fun. A chance to learn about the binomial naming system and why it's essential. She'll focus on a couple of plant families to help get you started in your understanding.
It's going to be an amazing month. Have tried to arrange this thematically - let me know what you think. And sorry about this ridiculously small font - I haven't worked out how to change it...

The first of our lottery-funded training sessions kick in. There's lots more coming up, see the new ELL website: http://www.ediblelandscapeslondon.org.uk/theTraining
We had another fantastic turnout of parents on 2nd March 2013. The new school gardener, Sam McCabe, had plenty of jobs up his sleeve. First up was picking some of the tasty lettuce leaves in the greenhouse so that they could be nibbled on later. This was done by Liz, Caitlin, Siria, Sumaiya, Shane and Herby.
